We leave June 13 and Anita and I will meet in England. We will miss cousin Judy severely as she was to come on this trip and did all the research for Grandpa Erikson's past. However when we disembark the cruise ship in Bergen, we will do our best to make sure we see and document what we can to let all the family have a sense of where Grandpa came from. This trip was actually the dream trip for my Mom and Doreen Osz, who were to go on this together, so we are partly going in honor of them. So we will have 3 days to wander around and search out the old farm that belonged to Grandpa's Grandpa and see where he tended the sheep and goats as a kid. Then on to the cemetaries to see which relatives we can find. Don't think there are any live ones who want to meet us, as Judy did check, but so far not much luck on that front. So, we will go check out the dead ones. This is truly a trip to find our roots.Then fly to London and toodle around there for a few days. Anita will head home and I will accompany our British Relatives back to the Eastbourne area near Brighton. Erik will join us there. Last leg of the journey is to check Erik's roots in Denmark. We fly to Copenhagen and hope to see where his Dad came from and also his Mom's area. Erik did live in Denmark in 1972 and was an animal keeper at the Copenhagen Zoo for 6 months. He has not been back in 41 years so it may have changed a little since he was there. Keep you posted.
