Relatives

Supper in Etne with Ingemund A. Berg and his marvelous wife. This is mom's second cousin (third cousin if Spen calculates it the Norwegian way). It felt just like home there. Even down to the familiar teak furnishings. Supper was traditional and Erik sure missed out: shrimp open-faced sandwiches with poppy seed buns, beef open faced sandwiches, crepes with whipping cream and cloud berry jam. Strong Norwegian coffee. Excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting our new relatives and seeing their photos and sharing some memories. Ingemund looks so much like the Erickson men from our family. We left excited! Our trip to Norway was far surpassing anything we could have dreamed of. So included are some new photos and some of our relatives that Judy sent afterwards. We had not expected to meet any live relatives..... We went on to our hotel at Haugesund tired but fulfilled. Thank you to the historians of Skanevik, to Ingemund and his wife and to Kai Ove. River photo is of Haugesund.
